This week we are talking about how to overcome injustice.

These are the questions we are asking:

- Why does God ask us to love one another equally.

Read Romans 12:45

- For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

- What can you learn from this passage about the foolishness of treating people poorly, unfairly, or ignoring some people?

- What was unjust about today’s word search game?

- How did playing this game make you feel?

- How is this game a little like real-life unfair situations you know of?

- Talk about some ways you can choose to see, choose to stop, and choose to serve someone who otherwise might be overlooked or ignored, just like the Good Samaritan did

- Who can you reach out to for help if something is unfair in your own life or in the life of someone you care about, and you’re not sure

This week we are talking about how to overcome evil.

These are the questions we are asking:

- Who is the most evil movie villain of all time and why?

- Why do you think bad things happen?

- If you could solve just one of your town’s/city’s biggest problems, what would that be?

- Have you ever been lied to? How did it feel?

- Do you think the devil tells a lot of lies? If so, can you give an example?

- How do you learn not to believe the devil’s lies?

- What can young people do to fight against evil in the world?

- Who is someone you look up to that is impacting the world in positive ways?

- How can a group like us make a positive difference in our communities?

Weekly Challenge

Challenge:

Every week, group members accept a personal challenge to apply what was discussed to their day-to-day lives.

This week:

Take home the comic strip, give yourself some time to read it and think of an action that you or a group of you could do to help God protect those who suffer.  Bonus: Can you come up with a prayer to ask God for help as you fight against evil.

A reminder from last week:

Take a moment to choose one thing you’d like to talk to God about each day this week. Take another moment to think of a time that would be good for you to pray each day this week. Now, think of a plan to help you remember to follow through with that this week!

Parents – Ask your kids about this challenge during dinner time and ask if they did it.
